Prevention measures for health and hygiene
- Wash your hands often. It is recommended to make available hydroalcoholic solutions for handwashing in all public places such as gyms, supermarkets, pharmacies and other gathering places
- Avoid close contact with people who suffer from acute respiratory infections;
- Avoid contacts such as hugs and handshakes;
- Maintain social distancing of at least one meter;
- Practice respiratory hygiene: sneezing and/or coughing in a handkerchief in order to avoid respiratory secretions to get in contact with the hands;
- Avoid sharing bottles/glasses between people;
- Do not touch eyes, nose and mouth with the hands;
- Cover your mouth and nose if you sneeze or cough;
- Avoid auto-medicating with any drugs including antibiotics, unless prescribed by a doctor;
- Clean all surfaces with chlorine-based disinfectants or alcohol.
Useful information
Air exchange
- Ensure good air exchange in all environments: home, offices, health facilities, pharmacies, banks, post offices, supermarkets, means of transport.
- Open windows regularly by choosing those furthest from busy roads.
- Do not open windows during peak traffic times and do not leave them open at night
- Optimize openness based on the activities carried out.
Cleaning
- Read the instructions carefully before using the cleaning products and respects the recommended dosages of use on the packs (see symbols of danger on labels).
- Clean the various rooms, materials and furnishings using soap and water and/or ethyl alcohol 75% and/or sodium hypochlorite 0.5%. In all cases, housekeeping must be performed with gloves and/or personal protective equipment.
- Do not mix cleaning products, especially those containing bleach or ammonia with other products.
- Both during and after the use of cleaning and sanitizing products, air the rooms.
Ventilation systems
At home
- Regularly clean the air vents and ventilation grills conditioners with a cloth moistened with soap and water or with 75% ethyl alcohol.
In offices and public places
- Controlled mechanical ventilation systems (VMC) must be kept on and in good working order. Monitor microclimatic parameters (e.g. temperature, relative humidity, CO2).
- In controlled mechanical ventilation systems (VMC) totally eliminate air recirculation.
- Clean the filters regularly and acquire information on the type of filter pack installed on the air conditioning system and replace it if necessary with a more efficient filter pack.
