21 May 2019, Tuesday, 9:00 – 10:00 AM
With funding from the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC), the Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development (IGSD), in collaboration with automobile Manufacturer Tata Motors Limited (TML) based in Pune, India, and the Technology System Supplier, MAHLE Behr Troy Inc. based in Stuttgart, Germany, has demonstrated a new technology called secondary loop mobile air conditioning (SL-MAC), which achieves significant reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with both refrigerant and motor fuel.
In this regard, we invite you to this webinar which will present the results of the project which was completed in December 2018. This demonstration project designed, tested and validated an SL-MAC system that achieved energy-efficient operation in high ambient air temperatures, such as those in India, when compared to existing direct expansion (DX) mobile air conditioners. These outcomes will encourage global implementation to phase down high global warming potential hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), a short-lived climate pollutant (SLCP).
Agenda
- Introduction by the CCAC Secretariat
- Presentation: “Secondary Loop – Mobile Air Conditioning Project: Final Results and Path Forward”
- Discussion
