The two-week technician training will take place from August 5th to August 16th in Maintal, Germany.
The two-week Cool Training for technicians deals with the safe application of the natural refrigerants propane, CO2, and ammonia. It is composed of 30% theoretical and 70% practical work. It is carried out in cooperation with the Bundesfachschule Kälte Klima Technik (BFS) in Maintal, an international vocational training center in Germany that specializes on cooling technologies. Participants are required to have extensive experience in the RAC field and the capability to act as a multiplier of the acquired knowledge in the training. Furthermore, the training requires that participants are physically fit and able to work in English.
The two-week training package is offered for 1850 EUR and includes the following: course fee, training materials, protective clothing, safety equipment, airport pick up and lunch on training days (i.e. weekdays). Accommodation is offered for 81,50 per night including breakfast; i.e. approximately 1060 EUR (exact number of nights to be defined after registration). Not included in this package are the following: international flights, per diem allowance (as applies per your regulations), insurance and hotel accommodation.
Agencies are encouraged to sponsor their refrigeration and air conditioning trainers to attend. Registration and reservation of slots are now ongoing and should be sent to Cool.training@giz.de along with the CV of the proposed participant. Please be reminded that qualified participants are accommodated on a first come first serve basis.
